Neb. Rev. Stat. 81-885.13 (9) - All licensees shall, within one hundred eighty days after license issuance, furnish satisfactory evidence of completion of twelve hours of class study.

This post-license education program meets the requirements set forth in statute. Students are encouraged to complete this course of study early in the required timeline so that they may remain on active status. Licensees who do not complete this program on time will be placed on inactive status.

Welcome to Real Estate Investments!

When the word “investment” is used in connection with real estate, we tend to think of commercial or rental real estate, perhaps vacant or partially developed ground to be built upon, a foreclosed home to be remodeled and sold, and so on. However, in one fashion or another, any money used for almost any purpose related to real estate is an “investment”. The funds spent to paint a home, replace a roof or furnace, pay real estate taxes, remodel . . . the list is endless. Whether the property is generating income or not, the owner is still making an investment in the property to preserve it, maintain it, improve it, make it a more pleasant or convenient place to live, make it more appealing to a potential buyer or just to increase the owner’s pleasure in living there. The “return” on that investment may be economic or may be measurable in less tangible benefits such as contentment, the pride of ownership or a sanctuary at the end of the day; regardless of the nature of the return, there has been an investment and there will be a return on that investment, hopefully, a positive one.

In this course learners will be exposed to the basics of investment real estate. While the focus will be on the income- producing real estate, the learner will also discover various aspects of the economics of residential investment.
