Colorado REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a two-year cycle. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
The current two-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2020.
Training may be completed through local Colorado REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.
VanEd maintains a number of online Colorado real estate ethics courses that meet the NAR requirements for Ethics Renewal and New Member Orientation, including GRI courses, to help you satisfy the Ethics Renewal requirements for REALTOR® members.
Note that all of our courses meet the Ethics Renewal requirements. Beginning with the 2017 Ethics Renewal Cycle, NAR requires all REALTOR® members to complete an ethics training course every two calendar years. Check with your local board or association if you have questions regarding new member requirements if you are joining a REALTOR® association or board as a new or transferring member.
The 8-hour renewal package includes the most current Annual Commission Update (ACU) course and the NAR Mandatory Ethics Renewal course to help REALTORS® meet license and ethics requirements in 2019.
