Colorado REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a three-year cycle. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. (At its Nov. 11, 2019 meeting, NAR’s Board of Directors approved a change to NAR’s Code of Ethics training requirement. As a result, the current Cycle 7 deadline is from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024.)
Please note that many local associations have different requirements. Check with your local board for more details on the hours required.
The current three-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2024.
VanEd maintains a number of online Colorado real estate ethics courses that meet the NAR requirements for Ethics Renewal and New Member Orientation to help you satisfy the Ethics Renewal requirements for REALTOR® members.
Note that all of our courses meet the Ethics Renewal requirements. Beginning with the 2019 Ethics Renewal Cycle, NAR requires all REALTOR® members to complete an ethics training course every three calendar years. Check with your local board or association if you have questions regarding new member requirements if you are joining a REALTOR® association or board as a new or transferring member.
