Advertising is used by individuals to either promote themselves and/or the services or products they provide to the consuming public. In marketing yourself you must comply with both state and federal advertising regulations in order to limit your liability.

This course focuses on the rules and regulations surrounding advertising and how a real estate professional will comply with these rules.

Learning Objectives:

In this course we will review the regulations on real estate advertising and the challenges faced by licensees. At the conclusion of this course the student will be able to:

  • be informed about franchise identification rules
  • be aware of rules relating to advertising and personal marketing
  • explore how to advertise in social media while remaining compliant

Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through the successful completion of exercises, field trips and exams. Certificates are available immediately upon completion of the course final exam. 

Approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission to meet the requirements for 1 hour of Code and Rules (CAR) credit for Oklahoma Real Estate Licensees.
