This course represents one of the two required pre-license classes to become a real estate broker in Washington State.
We'll introduce you to the real estate industry with an overview of real estate as a career. Then we'll move on to other fundamental principles you'll need to pass the state licensing exam, including real property ownership, land use rights and restrictions, real estate contracts, and agency relationships.
You'll learn about listing agreements and the selling process. Then you'll explore money matters like real estate valuation, escrow, settlement, and real estate financing options.
We'll discuss the role of property management, including the Washington Residential Landlord-Tenant Act and Fair Housing guidelines.
You'll also take a close look at Washington license law, particularly the regulations on licensee conduct and disciplinary actions that could follow.
