Developing Professional Conduct and Ethical Practices

As required by law the NREC (Nebraska Real Estate Commission) developed this course for its real estate population in the area of Real Estate Professionalism. This is a highly interactive ethics and professional conduct program which will help new licensees gain competency in handling real estate transactions. Participants will be actively involved in viable case studies, as well as discussions regarding ethical issues.

This course has been developed as a 6 hour Pre-License Course, and is broken up into the following modules:

  • Module 1: Applied Ethics
  • Module 2: Agency
  • Module 3: Applications and Scenarios
  • Module 4: Fair Housing Issues
  • Module 5: Professionalism in Real Estate

After completing this course, the learner will be able to;

  • Define and review the difference between values, principles, and ethics as they relate to the real estate profession and identify values that are most important to them as they build their real estate careers.
  • Summarize and demonstrate understanding of the State Laws and Administrative Rules related to real estate.
  • Employ a method of effective communication that is appreciated by the public and licensed peers throughout the real estate transaction.

Students should make certain they read and review all of the information presented.

Students can expect numerous exercises, quizzes, case studies and the course will be completed with a cumulative final exam. All elements presented in the course are required for course completion.
