In order to become a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Texas, you must first complete mandatory pre-licensing education approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). After obtaining your Texas real estate license, there are additional Salesperson Annual Education (SAE) requirements that are mandatory within the first two years of licensure.

Salesperson Annual Education (SAE) courses are mandatory (90 credit hours in total) within the first two years of getting your Texas real estate license.
