Continuing Education for Colorado Community Association Managers

Community Association Managers (CAM)

For the period leading up to June 30th, 2016, the Division of Real Estate did not require CAM license holders to complete any additional education beyond the pre-licensing education. Completion of the pre-licensing education in the same initial licensing period when the license was approved satisfied the continuing education requirements for that initial licensing period.

Moving forward - July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017

  • Individuals must complete eight (8) hours of continuing education in approved subjects per year; or successfully pass the Colorado Law portion of the community association manager licensing examination.
  • You must complete your continuing education prior to renewing an active license, to activate an inactive license or to reinstate an expired license to active status.
  • Licensees must retain proof of continuing education completion certificates for a minimum of four (4) years and provide proof of completion to the Division upon the Director’s request. Note: VanEd maintains all course completion certificates indefinitely inside student's accounts.
