Massachusetts appraisers must complete 28 hours of continuing education every two years: 21 hours of elective continuing education and the 7-hour USPAP Update course.
For Certified Residential Appraisers, a maximum of seven hours of courses designated as 'elective' may be credited toward renewal.
For Certified General Appraisers, a minimum of fourteen hours of continuing education courses shall be designated as non-residential topics.

7-Hour National USPAP Update Course
This course is designed to fulfill the requirements for Massachusetts licensed and certified appraisers who must complete a 7-hour USPAP Update Course every two years.
