Digital Marketing and Content Specialist

VanEd is looking for a full time digital and content marketing specialist to fill a key role in our marketing team. We are looking for a creative marketer to build, drive and optimize digital marketing campaigns using compelling strategic copywriting to generate leads, grow conversions, and increase VanEd's brand awareness.

The position will help establish the digital marketing goals, maintain a digital marketing calendar, and manage the day to day operations of all email, ppc, website, social and blog marketing strategies.

This person will be engaging with our students, leveraging their professionalism, interpersonal skills and excellent written/verbal communications.

VanEd is an online real estate school providing licensing, continuing education, appraisal and specialty designation courses. We are one of the largest real estate schools in the country providing quality education for multiple states. VanEd offers exceptional student support and quality online education for real estate professionals for over 23 years. We also have a passion to end and prevent homelessness and work with local organizations who support those in our community who are struggling with this issue.

  • Implement email strategy
  • Design, write and implement email and newsletter campaigns to connect with customers at optimal opportunities
  • Measure and analyze campaign effectiveness and optimize for conversion
  • Analyze data to propose new opportunities for segmentation and targeted outreach
  • Explore opportunities to automate communications through marketing automation platform
  • Create content for use across channels
  • Manage content marketing calendar each month to drive brand awareness, build credibility, and generate leads (examples include eBooks, case studies, infographics, guides, videos, brochures, etc.)
  • Develop engaging content and visual assets for emails, blog, ppc ads, electronic newsletters and social media (such as videos, photography, graphics, etc.)
  • Assist with content for optimal delivery of content, channel, audience and timing
  • Assist with digitizing publications, leveraging content across digital channels
  • Manage social media strategy
  • Create and manage social media strategy
  • Plan and maintain an organized social media content calendar
  • Design, write and implement social media posts all text, graphics and video assets
  • Create, design, and manage all social media ad campaigns
  • Track and report on social engagement and success of content
  • Manage PPC strategy
  • Manage and optimize ongoing campaigns daily for maximum ROI
  • Optimize and create keyword targets and banners
  • Develop, manage and optimize retargeting campaigns

  • Help maintain website by providing updates and new content
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and promotional collateral
  • Support transition from direct mail to digital media as needed

  • Brainstorm and propose news ideas to enhance content and brand awareness
  • Identify communications, digital and social media trends
  • Collaborate on editorial content and visuals
  • Investigate & provide input for marketing methods, consumer insights, advertising channels, and their results to continually improve results

  • Assist with Affiliate Marketing as needed
  • Work with marketing team in development and implementation of live events
  • Take the lead on our CRM as it relates to customer segmentation

Qualifications And Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications related fields or commensurate experience required
  • Two years of working experience in email marketing, content management, social media and PPC is required
  • Strong writing skills, especially within digital channels
  • Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of professionalism, ability to work well cross-functionally and independently
  • Eye for design and visual storytelling, ability to convey stories through digital channels
  • Experience with the following technologies:
  • Two years working with Google Analytics
  • Hubspot (or other CRM) preferred
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience required
  • Graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, a strong plus
  • Project management software, such as TeamGantt, a plus
  • Marketing Calendar software, such as CoSchedule, a plus
  • Photography and video editing experience a plus
  • Strong skills in data analysis and customer segmentation
  • Ability to perform digital analysis and web metrics duties
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal assistance and within deadlines
