"Hi, my name is Karen. I am a first generation student. Also an undergrad studying in education. I'm glad that I was able to receive this scholarship because it takes me one step closer to my future goals. My goal is to make my parents proud. They never got the chance to chase their future careers for financial reasons. So I'm here to show them that their sacrifices will finally pay off."
