This year’s Instructor Development Workshop, Thursday, June 30, 2016 will be an in depth look at the Generally Accepted Principles of Education (GAPE). These Principles are adopted by the Real Estate Educator Association (REEA) and applied in the evaluation of Distinguished Real Estate Instructors.
We will be learning and practicing these Principles during the six hour workshop with the author of the Principles, Mark Barker, DREI. It’s important that we all have a strong working knowledge of these Principles. They are the basis of instructor audits by the Commission as well as the Principles recommended for Education Directors to evaluate school instructors.
Even if chances are slim you will be audited this year because you don’t teach Pre-licensing or you teach at an institute of higher education, you can still use the Principles to strengthen your instructional performance.
