Because of the extensive disruption of Hurricane Harvey across Texas this week, the agency will extend August license expiration dates by 30 days. This means that if any license currently has an expiration date of 8/31/17, that date will be extended to 9/30/17. This is true for all license types. Open applications for initial licenses that will expire between 8/21/17 and 9/30/17 will also be extended by 30 days. Our exam provider, PearsonVUE, will be notified.
Once the impact of this extraordinary weather event is fully evaluated, the agency may initiate targeted actions to provide additional specific relief.
