This course introduces the student to real world problems that have been handled by the Colorado Real Estate Commission. Real examples of audits, complaints, legal cases and legal responsibilities with regard to lead-based paint are all included.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course the student will be able to:
- Recognize the types of fines and punishments that result from the inappropriate and illegal handling of money belonging to others by brokers acting as property managers
- Describe the types of real life situations that may arise between broker and customer/client, which may put the broker and client in jeopardy of breaking commission rules as well as the law
- Outline the potential monetary damages to seller/landlord/real estate agent that result from the absence of the lead-based paint disclosure
Students should make certain they read and review all of the information presented.
Students can expect numerous exercises, quizzes, case studies and the course will be completed with a cumulative final exam. All elements presented in the course are required for course completion.
