Broker Responsibility Course (2021-2022)

The Texas Broker Responsibility course is a 6 Credit-Hour course that meets the Texas real estate CE requirements for Broker Responsibility course credit hours. This is the required and TREC-approved version that runs from January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2022.

This course is presented without modification as required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).

Who Is Required to Take this Course?

The following persons are required to take the Broker Responsibility course:

  • A broker who sponsors sales agents;
  • A designated broker of a business entity who sponsors sales agents; and
  • A license holder who is a delegated supervisor of one or more license holders (for six months or more during the supervisor’s current license period).

Please note that in this course we will discuss some of the more important new and changed forms, but not all of them.  The Broker Responsibility course provides information concerning the regulatory aspects of the management, operation and supervision of a real estate brokerage firm in Texas. The course provides an understanding and working knowledge of a broker’s responsibilities and obligations under 22 TAC §532.2, which sets out specific requirements and best practices for brokers.
