In cooperation with the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University developed this real estate legal update curriculum with the assistance of an advisory committee of active commissioners, licensees, attorneys and education providers. Real estate licensees in Texas are required to complete a Legal Update course in each MCE cycle.
Texas real estate licensees face a changing marketplace in which quick decisions can make the difference in closing a transaction. Maintaining competence in this increasingly competitive profession demands that licensees receive up-to-date information on ethics and legal issues. The goal of the fourth edition of Legal Update MCE is to increase licensees? knowledge of legal issues and to update them on recent changes. New legal cases replace cases presented in earlier editions. Like the TREC Ethics MCE course, this course is presented without alteration.
- Unit 1 - Legislative Changes
- Unit 2 - Regulatory Changes
- Unit 3 - Hot Topics
- Unit 4 - Case Studies
This course has numerous exercises and quizzes and is completed with a final exam.
