1. The Basics
The Real Estate Commission requires the following to receive a real estate salesperson license in the state of Nebraska.
- Complete 2 approved 30 hour pre-license courses for a total of 60 hours;
- Receive a Certificate of Completion of Educational Requirements from a state-certified school, which states you have successfully completed the course established by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission;
- Submit a complete application;
- Have completed a Fingerprint based background check;
- Provide a written statement covering any convictions for misdemeanors or felonies (or pending charges); and
- Pass the licensing examination.
Please Note:
Completing the VanEd pre- licensing courses is a necessary step toward obtaining your Nebraska real estate license.
However, our program only satisfies the first two requirements above. You will still need to pass the state exam and fulfill the other requirements to obtain your license.
