Texas Real Estate MRE Courses


The Master of Real Estate designation is designed to provide advanced training beyond other designation programs. REALTORS® will benefit from the up-to-date information and will advance their competitive edge by earning the MRE designation.

VanEd is proud to be the online services provider for this advanced program through the MRE National Education Work Group. The program is flexible by design, allowing for the student to complete the program within 5 years. Designed as a blended learning approach, students are allowed to complete courses either online or in the classroom. Some courses are approved for Continuing Education credit in various states.

MRE Designation Requirements
1. Active membership in the National, State or Local Association of REALTORS®

2. Have earned a premium designation, such as the GRI, CRS, CCIM or the CRB designations.

3. Submit the MRE Candidacy Application and the $100 candidacy fee. CLICK HERE to login to the MRE Candidate page.

4. Complete 90 hours of approved courses. Courses are approved by the MRE National Education Work Group.

Planning Process How city planning works
This course provides a general overview of the planning process - its goals and objectives, resources, basic research techniques, and tools used to evaluate alternatives and make decisions. Implementation tools, including regulatory, annexation, and growth management techniques are included. The public planning process is described including notification requirements, the use of advisory committees, survey techniques, and the formal public hearing and decision making process.
