The Graduate REALTOR® Institute designation is designed primarily for agents whose main business activity is residential real estate. The course of study helps members increase their knowledge and skills in a broad array of technical subjects and the fundamentals of real estate. The program also provides opportunities to develop important business contacts.
To obtain the GRI designation in South Dakota you must take the following steps:

Covers the interpretation and application of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. This is the only required course in the GRI program, and many local associations require this course as a condition of membership (check with local board for specific requirements)

The purpose of this class is to alert licensees to those situations that may cost them large amounts of money, or their license, or both. The course will help protect the public by educating licensees to recognize bad business practices while making them aware of the ongoing legal issues in real estate. This course is the second course of the GRI 107/108 package - a 16 hour combination course in Legal Issues in Real Estate in South Dakota.
Note: Both courses must be completed to earn 16 hours of CE credit.
