Nebraska GRI Courses


The Graduate REALTOR® Institute is designed primarily for agents whose main business activity is residential real estate. The course of study helps members increase their knowledge and skills in a broad array of technical subjects and in the fundamentals of real estate. The program also provides opportunities to develop important business contacts.

Obtaining your GRI designation
To obtain the GRI designation in Nebraska you must take the following steps:

1.  Be a registered REALTOR®.
2.  Complete all six (6) courses within a 5 year period.

GRI 103: Ethics & Legal Issues This two module course covers the interpretation and application of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as well as current legal issues in real estate.:
  • Ethics and Professional Practice - #0497R (CE & GRI Credit)
  • Legal Issues (GRI Credit)
You will be enrolled in these two modules separately, and receive credit for the Graduate REALTOR® Institute, GRI 103 course when both modules are complete. You will also receive 6 hours of CE credit for the Ethics module.

    GRI 101: Rookie Training The purpose of this course is to provide REALTORS® with tools and strategies to embrace the cyclical market and exceed buyer expectations from first contact through transaction closing.

    This course counts towards your GRI designation but does not have CE credit.

    GRI 102: Construction, Appraisal, & Environmental Issues This course has been designed to give students an in-depth understanding of the structural and mechanical make-up common to residential housing and explore how environmental hazards play out and affect housing.
    Latter units of this course will cover the principles of pricing properties. Topics covered will include approaches to property pricing and how to identify positive and negative factors affecting property price.

    GRI 104: Finance in Real Estate #0022 This course covers all aspects of Real Estate Finance, including The Monetary System, Sources of Money, the Lending Process and Insurance. The course also contains a downloadable glossary of Finance Terminology.

    Students will receive 12 hours of Continuing Education Credit - Finance in Real Estate - #0022 and 12 hours of GRI Credit through NRA for completing this course.

    Nebraska GRI 106 - Technology and Taxation (#0416 6hr/CE) This is a combination of two modules:
    • Taxation in Real Estate - #0416 (CE & GRI Credit)
    • Technology Applications (GRI Credit)
    You will be enrolled in these two modules separately, and receive credit for the Graduate REALTOR® Institute, GRI 106 course when both modules are complete. You will also receive 6 hours of CE credit for the Taxation module.
