Licensees are required to complete 15 clock hours of continuing education every license period. Of these 15 hours, all licensees are required to take the 3 hour TREC Legal Update course and the 3 hour TREC Ethics course. The other 9 hours may be in elective topics.

To renew an active license without an additional fee, MCE must have been completed within the term of the license being renewed. If you renew your license on an Active basis without first completing MCE, an additional fee may be required.


All MCE credit will be awarded by the provider for the course no earlier than 24 hours after the course has been completed. TREC rules require online MCE courses to not be considered complete until credit has been awarded by the provider.
