In order to become a real estate appraiser, you must first complete licensing courses approved by the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. There are five levels of appraiser licensing in Texas starting with Appraiser Trainee, and progessing to the more advanced levels of Provisional Licensed Real Estate Appraiser, Licensed Real Estate Appraiser, Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, and Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
