In order to become a real estate appraiser, you must first complete licensing courses approved by the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers. There are four levels of appraiser licensing in Michigan starting with Limited Appraiser, and progessing to the more advanced levels of State Licensed Appraiser, Certified Residential Appraiser, and Certified General Appraiser.
