Iowa Online Appraisal Continuing Education Courses

The course focuses on changes to USPAP for 2010 and 2011 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice. This course is designed to aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.

Commercial Real Estate encompasses all aspects of sales, leasing, management, investment in or improvement of retail property, investment property, farmland, businesses, industries, medical facilities and dozens of other types of property. Our job in the industry is to assist in the lease, management or sales of property, and to advise our clients of their best courses of action when deciding how to invest in or improve real property or a commercial asset.

In November 2008, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac released a new form entitled Market Conditions Addendum to the Appraisal Report (Fannie Mae 1004MC, Freddie Mac 71) to be used to reflect current market conditions. Its use will be required for all appraisals of 1-to-4 family units made for Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac as of April 1, 2009. This course is all it takes to understand what Fannie/Freddie want, and learn exactly how to give it to them.

Introduction to Planning for the Real Estate Appraiser: Understanding the effect of land use planning on property value
This is a Planning 101 course for professional appraisers and others interested in the effect that land use planning can have on real estate value. The course combines the basic elements of the three core courses and discusses planning and regulatory trends to develop an understanding that a local planning and regulatory perspective is integral to any analysis of the highest and best use of land.
