Course Description

The VanEd fair housing course focusing on discrimination in the new millennium. Topics include a review of discriminatory trends, federal and state fair housing laws, mortgage lending, diversity, testing and working with public attitudes.

Course Objective

To sensitize students about fair housing issues and to provide information to help them avoid violation of fair housing laws by:

  • taking them on a history journey to sensitize and help them understand the foundation of the law.
  • providing current information on fair housing laws and issues;
  • providing resource information and materials that will help answer questions and concerns they might have.
